For three years, he served as a senior research attorney for the Honorable Justice Arthur Gilbert of the California Court of Appeal. He has handled hundreds of state and federal appellate matters throughout California, resulting in nine published opinions, including two from the California Supreme Court.

Mr. Fox's appellate experience covers many areas of law, such as business litigation, insurance, family law, probate, personal injury, medical and legal malpractice, real estate, consumer class actions, environmental law, professional licensure, and civil procedure. 

He also consults with trial attorneys, helping them identify and resolve legal issues, develop trial strategy, draft pleadings, briefs, jury instructions and advise on methods of protecting the clients' appellate rights. He is the author of dozens of articles on appeals and appellate procedure, lectures to attorneys on appellate law and procedure, and was named to the Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys in 2005 and 2006.
